As you may know, on May 16 I made an appearance at the Washington Nationals and New York Mets baseball game. In the ninth inning, I walked onto the field of play and ran the bases.

Two years ago my alter ego "Jungle Bird" embarked on a light-hearted activism campaign to bring the issues of deforestation, reforestation and climate change center stage.

I abide by a strict code of ethics and do not interrupt active play and always surrender to security. For the record, I am always sober during my activism.

My practice of peaceful disobedience is motivated by my concern that my children's children and their children, will not be born into a world like the one we enjoy today.

Amongst others, I've appeared at a U.S. Open Golf trophy ceremony, a Notre Dame / Navy football game, and an Everton / Juventus soccer match.

I would you to think about this: Every single minute, we lose the equivalent of 50 soccer fields worth of rainforest to illegal deforestation. Our rainforests provide a key defense against the impact of climate change and need our immediate protection.

If we are to make a difference, we must act now!
