Inspired by the Apple iPad's forthcoming release, San Francisco-based 3D design studio Transparent House has created an animated, 3D history of Apple, Inc's innovations.

The two-minute video, titled "Anatomy of Apple Design" begins with the Apple I personal computer kit from 1976 and highlights breakthrough technology up to and including the 2010 iPad.

In an explanatory article about their animation, Transparent House stated that it intends for the video to be 'an educational tool for the 3d visualization or/and design industry.' The video is not affiliated with Apple and is not commercial in nature; rather it is meant as a celebration of Apple's aesthetic sensibilities.

Transparent House goes on to say:

The animation was done entirely using 3Ds Max and V-Ray render and took about 10 days to complete. Professionally done 3D visualization is the perfect tool to present concepts or new products in a beautiful, photoreal style, while creating a mood with music and conveying a message, through on-screen text or narration.
