Andie MacDowell Complains About Being In 'Tourist Class,' People Freak Out

"HELP I paid for first class & they put me in tourist because of my dog that I pre-booked & paid for"

Actress Andie MacDowell learned the hard way that people don't have a lot of sympathy for her travel woes.

The actress took to Twitter on Friday to complain about being bumped from first class on an American Airlines flight.

"@AmericanAir HELP I paid for first class & they put me in tourist because of my dog that I pre-booked & paid for," MacDowell wrote.

Though we're unfamiliar with "tourist" class, it's pretty clear that she meant "economy" or "coach."

The actress continued to tweet at American Airlines, complaining about the employee that helped her.

Immediately, people went after the actress for her seemingly insignificant first class first world problems.

Over the next few days, MacDowell noticed the backlash and began tweeting back at followers and continuing to comment on the situation. Referring to coach as "tourist" in another tweet didn't help things.

On Monday, MacDowell was attempting to turn her Twitter attention to something more positive.
