Andrew Wiggins To Kansas: Top Basketball Prospect Chooses Jayhawks

Top Hoops Prospect Makes Major Announcement

Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks have landed top basketball prospect Andrew Wiggins.

Wiggins, who averaged 23.4 points and 11.2 rebounds per game this season for West Virginia's Huntington Prep, chose Kansas over Kentucky, Florida State and North Carolina

With only one reporter in the room -- Grant Taylor of the Huntington Herald-Dispatch in West Virgina -- the Canadian superstar made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon and signed a letter of intent.

Jeff Eisenberg of Yahoo! Sports' "The Dagger" wrote that Wiggins puts Kansas right into the Final Four hunt. Jeff Borzello of CBS Sports called Wiggins one of the best recruits in the last decade and Jason McIntyre of The Big Lead wrote that he "might be the best high school talent since LeBron James."
