Angel Food Cake Recipes, Plus Delicious Things To Make With It

It's so much easier than you think.

There's a vicious rumor going around about angel food cake and it ends right here, right now. Folks are saying that this cake is hard to make and that it's persnickety, but it absolutely isn't. Sure, there are egg whites that have to be whisked for angel food cake to achieve its lighter-than-air texture, but that's easy. Once that part's over with, the cake is basically made (after about 40 minutes in the oven).

It's unclear where this rumor started, but one thing is for sure: egg whites are nothing to fear. If you can make whipped cream -- which obviously you should be able to make -- you can bake an angel food cake with your eyes closed. Here are a few great recipes to get you started, plus a couple of ideas of things you can make with your freshly baked cake.
