WATCH: Woman Describes Her Encounter With Angels After Flight 93 Crash

According to an AP poll, the majority of Americans believe in angels. But only a few claim to have seen them.

Lillie Leonardi, a former FBI employee who was deployed to the site of the United Airlines Flight 93 crash on Sept. 11, 2001, says that she had a personal experience with angels on that day. She's now written a book about it titled "In the Shadow of a Badge: A Memoir about Flight 93, a Field of Angels, and My Spiritual Homecoming."

On HuffPost Live Tuesday, Leonardi described seeing a twinkling light near the crater left by the plane and then a white mist that opened up.

"That's where I saw the angels," Leonardi told HuffPost Live's Nancy Redd. "Although they were winged, they looked more human form facially and they were dressed in what looked like Roman Centurion garb."
