Angelina Jolie On Ann Curry: Actress Will Only Give 'Today' Interview To Former Co-Host, Says Report

Angelina Jolie Stands Up For Ann Curry

If "Today" wants an interview with Angelina Jolie, the current co-hosts are going to have to step aside. The actress will only sit down with Ann Curry, according to a report published Tuesday. NBC News later denied the story.

Radar reported that Jolie reached out to Curry shortly after she was ousted from the morning show, and "made it clear" that she and Brad Pitt would not give interviews to anyone else at NBC News. "Angelina has tremendous respect for Ann because of the work she has done on bringing awareness to Darfur," a source told the site.

The insider said that the couple has developed a friendship with Curry over the years, and that Jolie's support "meant the world" to her. The source continued, "with rumors of an upcoming wedding for the couple, NBC will lose any interviews with the actors in the future if Ann isn't allowed to do it."

The network denied the report on Wednesday. "There isn’t any truth to this," a spokesperson told The Huffington Post. "Angelina Jolie has not reached out to Ann or anyone from NBC News."

Curry sat down Jolie a number of times in the past. In their interviews, the actress defended her relationship with Pitt and opened up about the loss of her mother.
