Alleged Animal Cruelty: Dog That Was Dragged And Run Over Saved By Good Samaritan (VIDEO)

WATCH: Dog Dragged Behind Truck Recovering Thanks To Good Samaritan

A dog in Riverside County, Calif., was dragged down the road while tethered to the back of a pickup truck last week.

In a case of alleged animal cruelty, the 10-month-old Shepherd mix suffered injuries to all four of its paws, ABC News reports.

After seeing the truck, passerby Cheyenne Embry followed the car, honking and calling 911 when the driver did not help the dog.

Embry says she thought at first it was an accident. But eventually, the unidentified driver cut the rope connecting the dog to his pickup, and sped away, ABC reports.

The man was driving an older model red pickup truck.

The dog is expected to make a full recovery, the news outlet reports.
