Ann Kirkpatrick Town Hall Overrun By Protesters

Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick (D-Ariz.) was forced to cancel a town hall after it was overrun by protesters, Politico reported.

"I am disappointed that the event was disrupted by a small but vocal group," Kirkpatrick told Politico. "I grew up in Greater Arizona, and I remember the days when folks who disagreed would do so respectfully and were still able to work together on the important issues to find solutions."

A town hall in Tampa, Florida broke out into violence Thursday night due to angry protesters screaming, yelling and banging on windows. Rep. Brian Baird (D-Wash.) has opted to hold tele-town halls to avoid the "lynch-mob mentality."

The White House has also been advising Democratic lawmakers on how to handle the protests.
