'Pitch Perfect' Star Heads To 'Vegas'

Anna Camp is headed to Sin City.

According to EW, the "Pitch Perfect" star has booked a multi-episode arc on the CBS drama as an aspiring actress called Violet. The character is also described as being "the mistress of a film studio mogul," in town for a movie role that she's hoping will be her ticket to the big time. She'll get to know Dixon (Taylor Handley) after he becomes her bodyguard.

In addition to starring in the breakout musical movie, Camp currently recurs on Fox's "The Mindy Project," although she was recently downgraded from series regular status.

In other casting news ...

"Alias'" veteran to appear on "90120." Merrin Dungey will play a therapist who is counseling Liam after he encounters some legal troubles. Her episode will air in February. [TVLine]

Jerry O’Connell joins CBS comedy pilot. He'll play Stuart, described as a "feisty conservative and a successful OB/GYN" in the midst of his second divorce. O'Connell will star alongside Chris Smith, Kal Penn and Tony Shalhoub in the network's untitled Rob Greenberg comedy about a twenty-something man (Smith) who learns about himself by living with three more experienced guys. Sandra Bernhard will visit "The Neighbors." The comedienne has been cast as a driver's ed teacher called Ms. Porsche. [TVLine]
