Anna Wintour & Barack Obama Dinner: Vogue Editor's Fundraiser Has $30,000 Entry Fee

Update 7/29: Still not many reports from last night's dinner. WWD has images of several of the arrivals, including Bee Shaffer, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Diane von Furstenberg, Harvey Weinstein, Georgina Chapman, Andrew Rosen and Tory Burch.

According to the New York Times, approximately 50 people were there and the exact price was $30,400 a head, however, "aides cautioned that not everyone in attendance gave $30,400, which is the maximum under federal law that an individual can contribute to a party; some may have contributed a lesser amount previously."

Andre Balazs actually dished a bit to New York Magazine about what went on inside: "It was a wonderfully intimate evening, and the president was wonderfully articulate and on-focus and, you know, he managed to spend time and sat at every single table, and it was just spectacular. He's on his game."

Anna Wintour is set to have dinner with Barack Obama on Wednesday night, WWD reports. The Vogue editor in chief is holding a fund-raising dinner for the Democratic National Committee in her home in NYC. Although WWD couldn't get a hold of the guest list, the Washington Post estimates that the entry fee is $30,000 per person.

This isn't the first time Wintour has wooed the president with a meal. In June 2008, she co-hosted a party with Calvin Klein, André Leon Talley and Shelby Bryan. That event had a $1,000 to $2,300 ticket price.
