Annabel Tollman Dead: Stylist Dies In Her Sleep

Beloved Stylist Annabel Tollman Dies Suddenly At 36

Annabel Tollman died in her sleep from a blood clot this week, confirms The Cut. Tollman, a beloved celebrity stylist and former fashion editor, was in her thirties.

Numerous editors, stylists and other industry friends tweeted the news on Friday morning, expressing their shock and sadness at Tollman's sudden passing. The Brussels-born stylist was known for her glamorous, feminine aesthetic, and worked with clients like Scarlett Johansson, Liv Tyler, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. She was also the first fashion director of Interview magazine.

Annabel's style commentary can be seen in the New York Times, Vogue UK, and Marie Claire. She also was a guest blog writer at The Huffington Post. Her most recent article, published in February 2012, reflected on the state of New York Fashion Week, declaring, "I do not believe in trends."

Tollman was in creative development for a show on Bravo at the time of her death.

Clarification: Following inconsistent reports, this post initially reported Tollman's age as 36. The New York Times is currently reporting her age as 39, and The Cut, which broke the news, has amended its report.

The Fashion Industry Mourns Annabel
