Anne Hathaway is starting ‘em young.
A day after delivering an impassioned speech at the United Nations for International Women’s Day, Hathaway shared the first photo of her son, Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman, watching mom’s remarks by way of a laptop.
The Oscar winner visited the UN on Wednesday to speak about the importance of paid parental leave by explaining how women are “economically punished” for wanting children due to damaging gender roles.

Hathaway gave birth to her first child with her husband of nearly five years, Adam Shulmam, in March of 2016. The couple began dating around 2008 and tied the knot in September 2012.
In her UN speech, Hathaway noted the struggle many far less wealthy Americans experience after pregnancy due to the United States’ Family and Medical Leave Act, which gives new parents a 12-week period of unpaid maternity leave.
“Somehow, we and every American parent were expected to be back to normal in under three months without income,” she said.
“I remember thinking to myself, ‘If the practical reality of pregnancy is another mouth to feed in your home and America is a country where most people are living paycheck to paycheck, how does 12 weeks of unpaid leave economically work?’” she added. “The truth is for too many people it doesn’t.”
