In 2007, Jessica was struggling with anorexia and weighed 97 lbs.

“I want to be scary skinny. That’s my goal,” she said at the time.

“You are going to die if you don’t do something to change this,” Dr. Phil warned her.

Eight years later, Jessica is healthy -- and she’s revealing how she turned her life around.

“Prior to coming to the show, I was obsessed with counting those calories and that number on the scale was never good enough for me. I’m happy to say that I’m at a healthy weight and I completed treatment,” Jessica says, revealing she got her weight up to 117 lbs.

As for her big turning point, Jessica says it’s when she learned she was going to be a mom.

“I remember the moment I was told, ‘You’re expecting’ … It was my true moment of recovery,” she says in a new interview with Dr. Phil.

Watch the video above as Jessica offers advice and a message of support for Erika, a mother of three, who is afraid her own battle with anorexia may kill her.

This episode of Dr. Phil airs Monday.
