What's a political convention without a protest? Even before official festivities had begun, activists were out in full force. One example was yesterday's protest led by CODEPINK, a women-initiated grassroots peace organization. According to the Associated Press, about 1,000 anti-war activists gathered in downtown Denver. As they marched, they shouted: "Stop the torture, stop the war. That's what we're fighting for." Though not all dressed in pink, the protestors seemed unified in their opposition to the Iraq war.
