Apple's Cyber Monday 2011 Offer: Free Shipping For Online Purchases Until December 22

Apple Shoppers Get Big Freebie

With its seasonal retail offers, Apple might make many of its customers' "nice" lists this holiday.

The retailer announced on November 28 (a day known to shoppers as Cyber Monday, the online shopping equivalent of Black Friday) that it will offer free shipping on purchases made at For some customers, the freebie will last until December 22.

According to The Next Web, only U.S. shopper will enjoy this lengthy offer. "[D]eliveries are available free only until December 22 in the US, with Canada and the UK both showing that deliveries are free for today only – a likely nod to an associated Black Monday promotion," TNW wrote.

While Apple's one-day Black Friday sale was limited to certain items, such as the iPad 2, iPod Touch, MacBook Air and various accessories on Apple's website, the company's Cyber Monday offer of free shipping applies to every item available for purchase.

Visitors to the U.S. site will notice a bright red banner advertising the freebie.

Not everyone will be pleased with Apple's latest offer, however. For Cyber Monday 2010, Apple sold iPad, iPod, iPhone and Mac accessories at reduced prices. This year, Apple combined included both accessories and bigger-ticket items in its Black Friday sales, rather than holding two separate sales.

The success of Apple's massive Black Friday event was apparent on Monday, when 9to5Mac reported (via an unnamed Apple tipster) that Apple had recorded its best Black Friday sales ever.
