A Sweet Snack You Won't Feel Guilty About Eating

When a craving for something sweet kicks in, many of us reach for a treat packed with more sugar and calories than we'd like to admit. But registered dietician Megan Roosevelt says you can get your fix in a much healthier way -- without sacrificing that indulgent, sweet flavor.

"This is one of my favorites," she says in the above video from #OWNSHOW. "It's a healthy and 'pop-able' sweet treat."

Roosevelt calls them "Apricot Bites." They're simple to make with nothing more than a food processor.

Ingredients
1 c. dried apricots
1 c. unsweetened shredded coconut
1/2 c. rolled oats
1 TBSP. pure maple syrup
1 TBSP. coconut oil

Directions
Pour the ingredients into a food processor and pulse it all together.

"You'll get this really sticky, thick batter," Roosevelt explains.

Transfer the batter into a bowl and break apart pieces to roll into round, bite-sized balls. "You'll just roll together with your hands," she demonstrates.

Place each apricot bite on a plate and chill in the freezer for an hour.

"When you're done, you have these delicious, great snacks!" Roosevelt says.
