Ariana Grande Randomly Licks Donuts She Didn't Buy Before Proclaiming, 'I Hate America'

The singer later apologized in an official statement saying, "I am EXTREMELY proud to be an American."

UPDATE: Ariana Grande released a statement concerning her comments about hating America to The Huffington Post on Wednesday:

I am EXTREMELY proud to be an American and I’ve always made it clear that I love my county (sic). What I said in a private moment with my friend, who was buying the donuts, was taken out of context and I am sorry for not using more discretion with my choice of words. As an advocate for healthy eating, food is very important to me and I sometimes get upset by how freely we as Americans eat and consume things without giving any thought to the consequences that it has on our health and society as a whole. The fact that the United States has the highest child obesity rate in the world frustrates me. We need to do more to educate ourselves and our children about the dangers of overeating and the poison that we put into our bodies. We need to demand more from our food industry. However I should have known better in how I expressed myself; and with my new responsibility to others as a public figure I will strive to be better. As for why I cannot be at the MLB show, I have had emergency oral surgery and due to recovery I cannot attend the show. I hope to make it up to all those fans soon. That being said let me once again apologize if I have offended anyone with my poor choice of words.

EARLIER: No wonder Ariana Grande's mom thought she was going to grow up to be a serial killer based on her childhood antics, because, seriously, who does this? And by this we mean get caught on camera licking donuts that you haven't bought while the store's employees aren't looking (and maniacally laughing, because you think you got away with it).

Because that's exactly what little Ms. Grande did while at Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore, California on Saturday. Her new boyfriend, Ricky Alvarez, is also seen licking donuts that aren't his in security footage obtained by TMZ, before the young couple, (who apparently find this renegade behavior romantic) started kissing.

Things just got even weirder from there. When the employee returned with a new sheet of giant donuts that had been unsullied by the the singer's tongue, the 22-year-old said, "What the fuck is that?"

"I hate Americans," she added. "I hate America."

Good to know, Ariana Grande. Good to know.

Request for comment made by The Huffington Post to Grande's rep was not immediately returned.
