During Arianna's stint as guest host of CNBC's "Squawk Box" Tuesday morning, she and her co-hosts discussed the growing trend of workplaces encouraging their employees to de-stress. "The private sector needs to take the lead" on healthy living, she said, adding that 25 percent of corporate America now integrate healthy practices like yoga and meditation into their workplaces, including old-guard companies like General Mills.

"At a time when everything is changing quickly, we need to have employees who can think clearly, who can innovate, who can make good decisions," she continued. A new HuffIngton Post office in Washington will include a nap room, and space for yoga and meditation, she said.

Co-hosts Joe Kernen and Rebecca Quick weighed in with their thoughts on the new initiatives, while fellow co-host Andrew Ross Sorkin talked about his own experience learning to meditate, claiming "I have my own mantra."

Beyond the "touchy-feely" aspects of health and wellness, Arianna said, stress alone costs corporations $300 billion a year, so it makes business sense for corporations to let their workers relax.
