For Arianna Huffington, living life through the Third Metric has had "a thousand percent" unequivocal benefits, with "absolutely no cost."
Huffington sat down with HuffPost Live's Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani to discuss her 14th book, "Thrive." Huffington gave details into her own battles with stress, sleep and success, and shared how much her life has changed for the better.
"In my personal life, I have never enjoyed my work and my life more, because I really now love my days," Huffington said. "I literally remember feeling so exhausted, as I would push myself through meetings and calls and decisions, that there were days I would look at my desk and yearn to crawl under the desk, and just, like, sleep for 20 minutes, and this is an insane way to live."
Huffington said she wasn't always focused on a life of mindfulness, which is why she wrote "Thrive" in a way that would be relatable to skeptics.
"I had this amazing woman [my mother] who lived with me, who was embodying another way of living. But I was so driven that I wasn't hearing it. So that's why I'm so sympathetic towards people who are having a hard time implementing these changes, and that's why I made the changes so microscopic and easy, so that anybody can start," she explained.
