Arizona Fugitive Daniel Renwick Wanted Rifle Cops To Kill Him

Daniel Renwick, the escaped Arizona inmate who was captured in Rifle last week, appeared in court Wednesday.

Renwick was arrested after firing a shot at a police vehicle. According to police records, Renwick told an FBI agent after his arrest that he fired the shot "in the hopes that the police would kill him."

Renwick was one of three inmates to escape from a prison in the Arizona desert on July 30. One of his accomplices, Tracy Province, was captured in Wyoming earlier this week. The third, John McCluskey, is believed to be hiding in Arkansas.
