After weeks of promos touting her debut on "Army Wives," fans finally got to see Brooke Shields as Colonel Kat Young. Immediately, things got off to a rough start when Joan was late. She was none too pleased that Kat had already called General Holden.
When she asked what he was doing there, Kat coldly replied, "You were unreachable. I called my chain of command."
"You really think that was necessary? My record reflects I have never been late," Joan tried to argue.
But Kat had a response for that, too. "As far as I’m concerned, Colonel, your record's 0 and 1," she said.
TV Fanatic is already not a fan of the new character, noting how appropriate the episode title, "Brace for Impact," was for her debut. The website's Carissa Pavlica wrote, "Brace yourself was good advice because there was little to nothing to like about her. From the moment she arrived she was nothing but a pain in the ass."
This was only Shield's first episode, though, so maybe fans will warm up to the prickly Kat Young. Shields tweeted how excited she was for her fans to finally see her on the show, only did they like her on the show?
