Arnold Schwarzenegger Tears Into Donald Trump Over Paris Climate Deal Withdrawal

Arnold Schwarzenegger has taken aim at President Donald Trump for withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement.

In a video posted online late Thursday, the former California governor called on citizens to “rise up” and start a clean energy revolution themselves.

“One man cannot destroy our progress, one man can’t stop our clean energy revolution, one man can’t go back in time,” said “The Terminator” star. “Only I can do that.”

Trump’s top priority as president was to “protect the people,” said Schwarzenegger, who acknowledged it was sometimes “easy and comfortable to look backwards.”

But after citing the 200,000 annual deaths in the U.S. from air pollution, he said people just couldn’t “sit back and just do nothing while people are getting sick and dying” anymore. “Especially when you know there’s another way.”
