Ron Howard will step out from behind the cameras on "Arrested Development" for Season 4. Howard, who previously has been heard as the narrator of the series, rarely seen, will appear in the new Netflix season.
"I'm also told that I’m going to have to make an appearance as I did in the last episode of 'Arrested Development' -- I'm showing up again at some point," Howard told CNN. "So, I'm going to have to film that soon which will be kind of fun. Usually I'm a little too busy, but, with Mitch and 'Arrested Development,' it’s irresistible."
Howard's not the only new face joining the "Arrested Development" ranks. "Mad Men" star John Slattery will appear in multiple episodes. His role? Well, that's being kept under wraps for now. "Workaholics" actors Anders Holm and Adam DeVine were spotted in Jason Bateman's Twitter photo from the first day on set.
In an interview with MTV, Howard revealed "Arrested Development" creator Mitch Hurwitz would be introducing new characters to interact with the dysfunctional Bluth family.
"Mitch isn't trying to recreate something," Howard said. "It's been away for a while, and part of the fun that Mitch has been mining and exploiting is, what's new to discover about these people? What's delightfully unchanged? He and the writing staff and the actors have a fantastic sense of that. They're pretty brazen, pretty bold and fearless. That's what made the show into something that fans really kept alive."
