Though the federal government may be hamstrung by man-made climate change deniers and dirty energy lobbyists, state governments are doing their part to independently address climate change.

California, where voters recently crushed Big Oil's Prop 23, is the first state to come to mind, but many other states are working together and forging ahead on legislation, incentives, and goals to get CO2 emissions down and green industry up.

Hopefully these initiatives, all from 2010, are just the tip of a movement to a clean energy future.
