'Ask Amy': Amy Poehler Gives Girls Advice On Dealing With Embarrassment (VIDEO)

Amy Poehler's Advice On Surviving Embarrassing Moments (VIDEO)

We've all been there -- walking into class with a toilet seat cover stuck to your pants, humiliating yourself in front of your crush, or falling on your face onstage during the school play. It's not pretty, and it certainly feels horrible. But comedian Amy Poehler is here to remind us that embarrassing moments aren't the end of the world.

Thirteen-year-old Milly asked Amy for her wisdom on getting over a horrific skirt-tucked-into-underwear experience.

"You don't forget when those things happen -- I'm not going to lie to you," Poehler says in the latest installment of her video advice series uploaded to YouTube this week. "You probably will remember it. But you won't care anymore. Very, very soon, you won't care."

To help with whole not-caring process, Amy recommends laughing at yourself and finding humor in the situation (admit it -- it would be pretty hilarious if it happened to someone else), and using it as an opportunity to be more understanding and compassionate when others go through similarly cringe-worthy experiences.

And to keep your party foul in perspective, try reading these embarrassing stories from real teens and young celebs (yes, even Debby Ryan has had her share of less-than-graceful moments).
