Aspen's first Gold LEED-certified home sold Friday at an auction that attracted 10 bidders.

The 6,750 square foot home has 6 bedrooms and 6 combustion fireplaces on 2.33 acres in the W/J Subdivision on McLain Flats. The home features sliding glass doors that can be moved in the summer and soaking tubs with panoramic mountain views of Aspen Mountain, Snowmass, Capitol Peak, Mt. Daly and the upper Roaring Fork Valley.

Included green features inside are in-floor radiant heat, spray-in foam insulation behind the walls, geothermal heating and cooling, fly ash concrete mix, Low-E windows and window walls. Outside the home utilizes reclaimed beetle-kill siding, solar hot water panels, steel roofing, and more.

The realtor was unable to disclose the amount of the winning bid, as the deal has not yet closed.
