Atlanta Middle School Burglary Suspect Arrested After Running Into Wall (VIDEO)

Cops: Burglar Ran Into Wall During Escape

A burglary suspect accidentally ran into a brick wall and was arrested early Monday morning after attempting to break into an Atlanta middle school, according to police.

Two teenagers, ages 17 and 18, were detained by Atlanta police after allegedly attempting to steal computers from Ralph J. Bunche Middle School on Niskey Lake Road in Atlanta, WSBTV reports.

Police say they quickly arrested the first suspect, but the other fled, discharging a fire extinguisher at cops before he literally hit a wall and hurt himself. Medics from nearby Grady Hospital treated the suspect for head injuries at the scene.

Investigators are still searching for a third suspect, who crashed a stolen parks and recreation vehicle during his escape.

Police say they recovered all of the computers as well as the damaged city vehicle.

The Atlanta Police Department did not initially respond a call from The Huffington Post.
