Teen Narrowly Escapes Kidnapping From School Hallway

Police say the alleged attempted kidnapper targeted a girl who had been separated from her friends in the school's hallway while classes were in session, local NBC affiliate KCRA reports.

In the late morning of March 2 at La Vista Center School along Bannister Road, deputies say that a teenage girl was approached by a man who grabbed her by the ankles and dragged her six to eight feet before he fled the scene on a bicycle, Fox40.com reports.

Patch Fair Oaks-Carmichael reports that police are also seeking to question a second man as a witness, whom they do not consider to be a suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call 916-874-5194.
