How To Attract What You Really Want

bring good juju to the table. Most of the time. Like anybody, now and then, I flounder, trying to find that energy. Yesterday, feeling low, I typed into my search bar, 'Dear Universe, where...' and what do you know, there is a site where you can ask questions of the Universe.

Inviting The Universe

I bring good juju to the table. Most of the time. Like anybody, now and then, I flounder, trying to find that energy. Yesterday, feeling low, I typed into my search bar, "Dear Universe, where..." and what do you know, there is a site where you can ask questions of the Universe. On the first page, I was so repelled by the plaintive pleas, I thought NOOOOO! I wondered if the Universe would feel the same.

I suggest a different tack for attracting what you really want.

For example, to differentiate myself from the pleaders, I'm sending the Universe a letter of introduction, because She knows there is someone out there looking for me, who wants me to come home, and this letter will find its way there. I do not beg for love, I invite it. She knows my work is good, and someone wants to pay me for it.

GPS:
I'm in southwest France photographing and writing about this beautiful, ancient landscape, its people, culture, and traditions. I am working to publish a book as soon as possible.

I am Grateful for:
Seeing truth in the people I meet and photograph, the heart in the work of human hands, the bounty of landscapes.
Feeling unafraid to be out in the world, knowing I will meet wonderful humans everywhere.

My deep attachments to a very few people. I will love them forever, just the way they are.
The children, the home, and husband who formed the bones of my life for so long, who live in my heart, always.
Waking up to possibility every single day.

Other people:
I have utmost respect for people who make things work, who build things, who understand what's going on in business transactions. I appreciate steady, grounded people with deep taproots.

Me:
I'm warm, open, sensitive, creative, compassionate, bright, brave, sophisticated in my eye and brain, simple in my heart, a word jockey, known to display a juvenile sense of humor, strong, challenged in the business department, an unabashed sentimentalist.

I'm curious about the properties of light, about the energy flowing between people, about adaptation strategies in plants and people (how did they end up here?). I know that physical health and mental wellbeing are one thing, and that the world is rich with metaphor.

I make: food, gardens, photographs, art, and writing. I make places, homes, and lives beautiful.
I bring: sparkle, joy, authenticity, and laughs. I'm great to have along on a road trip -- I'll drive the whole way if you let me. You'll like sharing a house with me because I put all that good juju into making it a home -- nothing is more important to me.

Back to you, Universe. Thanks for this great life. You know how to show a girl a good time. You know how amazing I am, and you know all the terrific people in the world. You know how we would fit together. I will leave it to you to find the people, the money, and the home that encourage me to thrive.

How would you introduce yourself to the Universe? To start your own creative thinking about love, check out the Thirty Six Questions that supposedly make it possible for any two people to fall in love. Maybe you'll fall more in love with yourself.
