A scary sight broke out during an Aussie Rules Football match between the North Melbourne Kangaroos and Hawthorn Hawks over the weekend. Hawthorn's Brian Lake and North Melbourne's Drew Petrie were scuffling for possession in the third quarter when their jockeying suddenly turned into a fight on the field. At one point, Lake appeared to be strangling Petrie on the ground before the two were eventually separated by their respective teammates.
After the game, Petrie claimed Lake's chokehold caused him to go "nearly asleep there for a moment," The Herald Sun reported.
Lake was hit with a four-match suspension on Tuesday, per AFL.com.
