Autistic High Schooler Suits Up For Sacramento Kings

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to drain a three point shot on a real NBA court? Jocyleen Ditico, a high schooler from California was given just the opportunity. Jocyleen suffers from Autism Spectrum Disorder. Through the support of her guardians and the watchful eye of the high school basketball coach, Jocyleen began to overcome her disorder and joined the basketball team. Jocyleen proved herself an asset on the court throughout her premier season, scoring 16 points in one game.

Gradually her tenacity and determination paid off, gaining the attention of the Sacramento Kings, where they invited her to shoot hoops on the home court for an afternoon as the Sacramento Kings ball girl. Jocyleen not only drained a few jump shots, but proved that perseverance and hard work can make dreams come true.
