It's called "Toruk," and it looks WILD.

We're going on the sixth anniversary of the release of James Cameron's "Avatar," which remains the highest-grossing movie of all time. The second, third and fourth (!) movies in the series have been delayed more times than the titular character in "Waiting For Godot," and are now expected to start arriving in 2017. But diehard fans of the original movie -- they exist, right? -- don't have to wait that long to return to Pandora. It's coming to the stage in just one week, thanks to Cirque du Soleil.

The Canadian performing troupe will debut its latest spectacle, "Toruk: The First Flight," set in the world of "Avatar," on Nov. 12, in Bossier City, Louisiana, of all places. The show's story unfolds thousands of years before the events of "Avatar," so don't expect Jake Sully or Neytiri to show up. What will we get instead? Um ... you should probably just see it for yourself. Cirque Du Soleil just posted a batch of photos from behind the scenes of "Toruk." And they're pretty insane.

The show will feature scenes in relative darkness, illuminated by glow-in-the-dark elements that mirror the bioluminescence everywhere on Pandora.

One of the Pandoran animals featured in the show will be the Austrapedes. They're apparently less friendly than they look.

This is the head of the creature called Toruk -- who must be pretty crucial, considering that's also the name of the show.

"Toruk" is slated to tour in 30 cities in the U.S. and Canada between next week and August 2016.
