Avril Lavigne On Bar Fight: 'Violence Is NEVER The Answer'

Just a few hours before Brody Jenner was assaulted with a bottle and left with an allegedly cracked head, he tweeted at girlfriend Avril Lavigne: "Having the best night with the love of my life @AvrilLavigne so happy right now!!" complete with kissy photographic evidence. So what happened in the intervening hours?

According to Avril's Twitter page, five people is what happened to the couple while at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel Saturday night. "I don't fight. I don't believe in it. To clear things up I got attacked by 5 people last night out of nowhere. Not cool. My face is fucked," Avril, 27, wrote on her Twitter feed.

Though TMZ initially reported that 28-year-old Brody was the "only one involved who spoke to the police" -- who "listed Brody as the victim of an assault with a deadly weapon" -- Avril made it known that she sustained her fair share of injuries as well. The singer rattles off a list of bodily harm that reads like something out of the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" handbook: "As in black eye, bloody nose, hair ripped out, scratches, bruises and cuts. So not okay to be abusive to others. Violence is NEVER the answer."
