Egyptian Journalist: 'I Never Thought I Would Live To See A Day Like This'

The news of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's resignation on Friday was momentous for every journalist covering the story--but for the Egyptian-born journalists watching, the events were very personal. One of these reporters, Al Jazeera's Ayman Mohyeldin, was audibly emotional as he described what it meant to be watching the scenes of joy in Cairo just after Mubarak stepped down.

He said that he felt a great sense of pride in his country.

"Egyptians voice has been heard by their government," he said. "This has changed the dynamic for every Egyptian...the people who have been dormant for so long have risen...I never thought that I would actually live to see a day like this."
