'The Bachelor' Premiere: Monica And Blakeley Flirt With Each Other Instead Of Ben (VIDEO)

'Bachelor' Contestants Flirt With Each Other, Not Ben

"The Bachelor" (Monday, 8 p.m. EST on ABC) returned for its 16th season on Monday night, as 25 contestants moved into a luxurious house to vie for the heart of Ben Flajnik, who was last seen proposing to, and getting rejected by, "Bachelorette" Ashley Hebert.

Ben's bad luck with the ladies continued on "The Bachelor," as two contestants seemed more interested in flirting with each other than getting to know him. As the other women in the house looked on in shock, Monica and Blakeley got cozy on the couch, and Monica, a 33-year-old dental assistant from Utah, made it clear how into Blakeley she was.

Caressing her shoulder and gazing into her eyes, Monica said to Blakeley: "As much as I care about love, I care about people I meet, and the experiences I have. You're my experience, and if you're the only thing I get out of this, I have lived, and I have lived great. I think there's a lot of things to get out of this, not just love." Later, she told Blakeley she thought she was "beautiful" and "amazing" and asked for her phone number.

In the confessional, Monica continued to extole Blakeley's virtues. "No, I'm serious, I love girls. She's real and she's amazing ... I love her. Her teeth, her beauty, her eyes ... God, there is something to be said for a gorgeous, real, woman."

Fortunately for Ben, there are plenty of other more interested ladies to chose from.
