Backstreet Boys Christmas: Boy Band Releases 'It's Christmas Time Again' (VIDEO)

LISTEN: Backstreet Boys Reunites With New Christmas Song

The holiday season is in the air: cooling temperatures, Starbucks holiday cups, and best of all, a new Christmas song from '90s heartthrobs Backstreet Boys.

Called "It's Christmas Time Again," the holiday anthem is the first new song since the band's glory days to feature all five band members. Kevin Richardson officially rejoined BSB earlier this year, after the other four band members (A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, and Nick Carter) had already reunited to record the 2007 album "Unbreakable."

Following the album release, the boys toured the world before another record, "This Is Us," arrived in 2009. Richardson started to transition back to the group when he made appearances on 2011's NKOTBSB tour -- a '90s nostalgia collaboration tour with New Kids On The Block.

Now the original five are back in action with a new album in the works. Backstreet Boys made an announcement on GMA this summer that the upcoming record will be released in 2013, which happens to be the band's 20th anniversary.

"It's Christmas Time Again" is vintage BSB with a holiday spin -- a festive tune that's just poppy enough to dance to.

"We're so proud of this new song," Carter said in an interview with AOL Music. "There aren't that many original holiday songs out there -- which is so crazy to say -- and we really feel we made a timeless contribution to the season and a song our kids kids will be listening to. Plus, we have our boy Kevin back in the studio with us. This is a really exciting time."

Needless to say, Backstreet's back -- alright!
