Red Hot Chilli Pipers Cover Avicii's 'Wake Me Up,' Prove How Badass Bagpipes Can Be

WATCH: Who Knew Bagpipers Could Rock Out So Hard?

Who knew bagpipers could rock out so hard?

In this foot-stomping clip, watch as the cleverly named Red Hot Chilli Pipers -- a popular bagpipe group out of Scotland -- perform a rousing rendition of Avicii's "Wake Me Up."

The Pipers "blow [this song] out of the water," declared Mashable after watching the clip.

"I never knew bagpipes could sound so awesome," agreed an impressed YouTuber.

The Pipers, who clinched the title of "Live Act of the Year" at the annual Scots Trad Music Awards in 2007 and 2010, performed the Avicii cover in Glasgow, Scotland, this week.

The performance -- which included a cover of the '90s hit "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" by C+C Music Factory -- was part of BBC Radio 1's announcement that the Scottish city had been chosen as the venue for this year's Big Weekend music festival.

Big Weekend, run by Radio 1 and said to be the biggest free music festival in the U.K., will be held in May.
