Bald Eagle Soars Over Students At Oral Roberts University, Smacks Into Window (VIDEO)

WATCH: Bald Eagle Soars Over Students, Then Smacks Into Window

Having a bald eagle soar over your freshmen orientation is pretty awesome, and highly patriotic. Seeing that national bird smack into a window kind of ruins that.

Oral Roberts University, a Christian school in Tulsa, Okla., brought in an actual bald eagle during "Golden Eagle Day" on Wednesday morning. The plan was to release the bird in the chapel, have him soar over students, and then land on the stage. That did not happen:

Here it is from another angle:

Don't worry -- the bird, named Louis, was not harmed by the crash. Lois' handler brought him up on stage after the failed flyover. The handler explained that the 13-year-old male eagle fell from his nest and fractured his hip when he was a baby bird in the wild. Because he's unable to hunt, he now lives at the World Bird Sanctuary in St. Louis, Mo.

So all is well, since Louis looked like a stud moments after such an embarrassing fall, and students got an excuse to chant "U-S-A! U-S-A!"
