Thanksgiving at the Baldwin household may be a tad tense this year.
Donald Trump’s presidential campaign is splitting the famous quartet of actor brothers, and even causing them to come to virtual blows via Twitter.
On Thursday night, “Star Trek” actor George Takei stirred the pot highlighted an online bust-up this month between the pro-Trump Stephen Baldwin and his sibling Billy Baldwin, who is against the GOP nominee.
The heated dialogue on Oct. 9 and 10 went down as follows:
Takei, who is stridently campaigning against a Trump presidency, posted the above screen grab of the exchange, along with a tease aimed at Alec Baldwin.
The eldest brother’s portrayal of the GOP nominee on “Saturday Night Live” has proved a big hit― though Stephen Baldwin has said he doesn’t think it’s funny.
While Alec Baldwin is yet to publicly join in with his siblings’ Twitter argument, Billy Baldwin did lightheartedly ask Takei if he was available for refereeing duties over the upcoming holidays:
The Baldwins may well need it.
Billy Baldwin later reiterated his disdain for Stephen Baldwin’s political leanings, pointing out that many traditionally conservative newspapers had endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton over Trump.
Stephen Baldwin hasn’t replied to the posts from his brother and Takei. Instead, he’s focused on posting messages of support for the brash businessman.
The fourth famous brother of the Hollywood clan, Daniel Baldwin, does not appear to have joined in with the war of words.
While some Twitter users bemoaned the fact that the election had caused a rift in the family, Billy Baldwin did issue some words of reassurance on Friday morning.
