One Photo In Baltimore Says Exactly What The Media Is Not

Violent riots lit up the city of Baltimore, Maryland yesterday following the funeral of Freddie Gray. The 25-year-old suffered a spinal cord injuries that he sustained during an arrest and later died on April 19.

TV screens, newspaper spreads and radio broadcasts have painted a picture of havoc and lawlessness, and not unfairly. But that's far from the whole story. Not all of Baltimore's protesters are violent, not all of Baltimore's unrest is unruly, and not all voices in the city are being heard.

Baltimore gang members slammed rumors of a truce to kill cops. Residents came out to clean up the streets of their neighborhood. Peaceful protesters refused to surrender their struggle to the dangerous and criminal actions of rioters -- and this picture of a young boy's interaction with police officers just about sums it up.
