A Miami Lakes high school student was airlifted to hospital Tuesday after being stabbed in a fight on campus.
Miami-Dade School Board officials said the 18-year-old Barbara Goleman Senior High School student was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital after being slashed in the back of the arm.
The incident began before 1 p.m., when according to reports two boys got into a fight with another male student, who allegedly produced a pocket knife and cut one of the two boys.
Aerial footage showed the wounded student being airlifted on a gurney by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, but officials said the boy's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
The names of the students involved have not been released.
