Barbro Holmberg, Tiger Woods' Mother-In-Law, Elin Nordegren's Mom (INFO)

UPDATE, 11:05 AM: Holmberg has been identified as the woman sent to the hospital. She is in stable condition.

EARLIER:

Barbro Holmberg, the mother of Tiger Woods' wife Elin Nordegren, is suspected by some to be the woman sent to the hospital from Woods' home this morning.

TMZ reports that Holmberg was not at the Woods residence during the car accident after Thanksgiving, but she has since arrived in the U.S.

Holmberg divorced from her husband, Thomas Nordegren, when Elin Nordegren was six years old. A Social Democrat in Sweden, multiple reports refer to her as a "prominent politician." She may be the same Barbro Holmberg who is Sweden's minister for migration and asylum policy and who was quoted in an April 2006 New York Times article about secret CIA flights and the handling of terrorism suspects. "Sweden has been criticized for this on numerous occasions, and we have taken a number of steps in order for it not to happen again," the minister said at the time.
