The men of Barcelona lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) sports club Panteres Grogues are stripping down for a calendar shoot -- and it's for an incredible cause.
The calendar features 21 swimmers in 12 stunning photographs, shot by photographer JP Santamaria, and its proceeds will go to BCN Checkpoint Centre, an organization devoted to the prevention and early detection of HIV.
“Our first calendar sold very well and helped the financial situation of the club," explained Mano Ventura, the group’s coordinator, in a statement. "This year with our financial situation much better we wanted to do it again to have some fun and publicize the club but this time also to collaborate with an organization who does an excellent and worthwhile job.”
Barcelona’s Panteres Grogues seek to provide a recreational space where gay, lesbian and bisexual people can enjoy sports activities in a free and relaxed environment. However, the group is open to all who wish to participate.
