The duet of the day is here, sort of. A preview of Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen's "Beautiful" hit the web earlier this week, and now fans are noticing some curious echoes of another teen hit: One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful."
Jepsen's upcoming album, Kiss is among the more anticipated releases headed to the market. A leaked preview revealed snippets that ranged from "Call Me Maybe"-like jingles to songs that recalled Katy Perry. There is at least one dance-ready tune as well.
"Beautiful" sounds like a Jason Mraz and Dashboard Confessional mash-up. Let's examine the lyrics. Here are Carly and Justin:
