Bebe Buell Says She Never Saw Mick Jagger & David Bowie Have Sex

There have long been rumors that rock stars Mick Jagger and David Bowie were more than just friends, but a new biography about the Rolling Stones frontman alleges the two men had an intense, longterm love affair.

In "Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger," author Christopher Andersen alleges that after first meeting in the early 1970s, both musicians became enamored with each other -- and the two became involved shortly after Jagger paid Bowie a backstage visit in 1973.

“It was the glitter era, and everybody wanted to be part of the bisexual revolution,” singer Chuckie Starr told Andersen, whose book is excerpted in the New York Daily News. “Mick was no different. He was wearing rhinestones, blue eye shadow, and platform shoes.”

According to the book, the two rock stars became fast friends and were soon spotted everywhere together without their wives. They didn't seem to hide their affections for each other, as "neither superstar complained when one enterprising photographer snapped the two men in a moment of repose, Bowie tenderly cradling Mick’s head in his lap," Andersen writes.

Andersen also writes that backup singer Ava Cherry, who lived with the Bowies at one time, also reportedly once told a friend that “Mick and David were really sexually obsessed with each other," and added that she'd been in bed with them many times, but would just end up watching the two have sex.

Andersen's book is full of bold claims about the longtime rumor, and comments from Bebe Buell -- who is the mother of Liv Tyler and once dated Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler -- also appeared to confirm the affair.

“I used to get some pretty strange phone calls from Mick and David at three in the morning, inviting me to join them in bed with four gorgeous black women. Or four gorgeous black men," Buell allegedly told Andersen.

But now that the book has been released, the former model says Andersen went too far in characterizing her observations of Jagger and Bowie.

“I want to make it clear that I never saw Mick Jagger and David Bowie having sex,” Buell told Showbiz411. "I knew them to share women, but not each other ... I never saw Mick Jagger sexually active with another man. But his dance card with women was legendary."
