Victoria Beckham might as well be our modern-day Imelda Marcos. The designer tweeted a photo of herself yesterday amid a pile of designer shoes larger than, well, her, making us seriously envious of her impressive collection.
But the shoes were all destined for other owners. On Friday morning, the British Red Cross opened up a charity shop in London and put boxes of clothes, shoes and accessories donated by Victoria and her hubby, David Beckham up for sale. Proceeds of the sale, which is open to the public, will help victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
And for the eager shoppers waiting in line, it was like Christmas come early. Victoria donated Louis Vuitton heels, Chanel jackets, Dolce and Gabbana suits and even some Spice Girls gear. David chipped in with baseball hats, sweatshirts and pristine sneakers.
According to the BBC, the British Red Cross' director of fundraising Mark Astarita said that sales from the Beckhams' large donation "will enable us to raise significant funds towards the enormous humanitarian operation currently under way."
And the shoppers who scooped up the Beckhams' designer swag seemed more than happy to contribute. Check out the charitable feeding frenzy going on today in London.
They came...
... they shopped...
... they conquered.
Do you spy any of the donated clothes?
