Taylor Swift's "Begin Again" -- which may or may not be about her ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal and his disdain for high heels -- is the closing track on Swift's new album "Red," but it's the second song to receive a music video. Unlike the wild, one-take madness of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," however, this one features no Furries.
"Take a deep breath in the mirror / He didn't like it when I wore high heels / But I do," Swift sings on the song. (See: Heels!) The video shows the pop star walking through Paris streets with the slumped shoulders of George Michael Bluth. It's not until a young and handsome guy walks over to her in a cafe that things start to ... begin again.
Swift's "Red" is on track to sell 1 million copies in its first week, and with good reason: The 16-song album is loaded with pop songs of all genre stripes and tropes. For HuffPost Entertainment's money, you can't go wrong with "Holy Ground," "I Knew You Were Trouble," the title track "Red" and "All Too Well." If this album is truly about Swift's brief relationship with Gyllenhaal, he's done the pop-music world a great service.
Watch "Begin Again" above. "Red" is out now.
