Ben Affleck Shares Heartfelt Message About Robin Williams

Family, friends and fans are all coping with the heartbreaking, untimely death of Robin Williams, who was found dead as a result of asphyxiation by hanging in his home in Tiburon, California, on Aug. 11. The beloved actor was 63 years old, and left an incredible mark on the world through his personality, performances and career.

Williams' "Good Will Hunting" co-star Ben Affleck, who co-wrote the film with best friend Matt Damon while they were in their 20s, shared a touching statement on Aug. 12, thanking Williams for making his "dreams come true."

"Heartbroken," Affleck wrote in a Facebook post. "Thanks chief -- for your friendship and for what you gave the world. Robin had a ton of love in him. He personally did so much for so many people. He made Matt and my dreams come true. What do you owe a guy who does that? Everything. May you find peace my friend."

UPDATE: In a statement to The Huffington Post, Matt Damon says, “Robin brought so much joy into my life and I will carry that joy with me forever. He was such a beautiful man. I was lucky to know him and I will never, ever forget him. I truly hope the people in the media can find it within themselves to give his family some privacy during this horrible time.”
