A dance introduction is practically mandatory on DeGeneres' show, so it was no surprise that Sanders came out swinging. The host also posted a clip of him getting ready backstage.

On Thursday's show, Sanders and DeGeneres discussed his performance at this week's Democratic presidential debate and his campaign platform. The candidate also agreed to answer some personal questions, which he notoriously hates. He indulged DeGeneres and the audience, under the condition that for every question answered, the show would donate $1,000 to breast cancer research.

Some fun facts that Sanders revealed included his favorite karaoke song ("Stayin' Alive") and which Republican presidential candidate he wouldn't being mind stuck with on a deserted island (Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) because "he's used to the sun").

His dance moves on the show were a little different from a move that people have dubbed "the Bernie," which he debuted earlier this year.

Sanders' appearance on DeGeneres' show airs on Thursday.
